The
Phoenix Wailer IIIa
'The Phoenix Wailer Mk IIIa operating
in the first scientific trial, in 1998, to deter flying
foxes predating a peach and nectarine orchard, near Lismore,
NSW, Australia. The owner estimated that the wailer reduced
losses from 50% to less than 5%. Another orchard, near
Kempsey, NSW, has confirmed this effectiveness result
over the last three years'

"I
would like to inform you that we have been very pleased with
the Phoenix Mark III electronic bird deterrent system we purchased
from you three years ago. Our system uses eight speakers and
covers our brine ponds, an area of approximately 35 acres.
Since installation, reports of migratory waterfowl and other
animals entering the area have greatly decreased. The Mark
III has proven to be a very effective bird deterrent system."

"......I am happy to report that since
the unit was installed last spring, the raven problem in our
substation appears to be solved. The unit was installed easily
and quickly, requiring a minimum of labour and seems to perform
its function quite effectively. From the results we have been,
I would not hesitate in recommending the use of the Mark III
to others who may be experiencing similar problems."

"We installed the Mark III Wailer
in a seven acre vineyard......I can honestly say with the
25 ton of grapes harvested the birds were lucky to have gotten
a bushel.....We are looking forward to trying the Mark III
in a vineyard of Vidal grapes which are going to be left in
the vineyard until mid December for the production of ice
wine."

"In 1993 we lost about 60% of the
variety due to bird damage. In 1994 when we purchased your
Mark II we only lost about 10%. Then in 1995 we upgraded to
the Mark III and that solved the problem completely......This
year we expanded by purchasing additional speakers to cover
a larger area. To date, we are coveing about 20 acres without
any bird problems. Thanks for your help in solving this serious
problem completely."
